Key Biscayne

The city of Florida is one of the most captivating states within the great US of A, and part of the reason for that is because of all of the incredible island communities. One of these would have to be the city of Key Biscayne. It is not only captivating, but it has a population of just over 13,000 residents and is considered to be one of the safest communities in the whole entire Sunshine state. If you want to talk about a short and beautiful drive across the Rickenbacker Causeway, then going to this island community would be one way to obtain that! The drive is surrounded by an immense amount of national and state parks, and it has become home to some of America’s best places for beach fun. This area has the only nationally recognized underwater archaeological dig and it also has a wonderful coastal barrier reef.

Residents of this fabulous island community of Key Biscayne include those with some incredibly diverse talents. Individuals such as financial professionals, artists, writers, architects, and even some celebrities all call this community home. Indeed, this area has more of these contributors than at least 90% of all American communities! The area has come under some immense influence from some of these local artists, including with the home ownership rates. This is because they have some unique designs that everyone can appreciate, even if condominiums make up most of the homes here at a rate of over 77% and most of the rest being single-family dwellings. Of course, the housing market across the United States is experiencing a downturn, but real estate in Key Biscayne still retains a strong appeal nonetheless.

The city of Key Biscayne also has an interest array of languages. For instance, in 2000, there were at least 59% of those who spoke Spanish as their mothe tongue. Additionally, there were quite a few people who spoke English at 30%. Other languages were Portoguese (2.8%), French (2.6%), Italian (1.6%), and German (1.4%). In 2000, this community also had a unique make-up of residents throughout the area. For example, there was at least a 7% makeup of Cubans; a Peruvian community of at least 2.4%; a Brazilian community of about 1.5%; 1.02% of Nicaraguans; and .70% of people originating from Chile.
As you can see, the city of Key Biscaye is truly an enchanting place, and it is one that you should consider visiting and possibly even relocating to yourself!
